Located at the bottom of one of Melbourne’s famous lane-ways, there is no external advertising or signage, just a plain black door in the side of a brick building hiding an absolutely amazing prohibition-era-styled slice of cocktail heaven!
With an eclectic range of cocktails and extensive range of whiskeys, the bar staff work their magic to create the most interesting range of cocktails, served in a variety of vessels (light bulb, shoe, tiki head etc) – some complete with liquid nitrogen for that extra wow factor. Add in some tasty share plates and you could spend a few hours here grazing and drinking believing you lived in a bygone era.
Make a booking (they can get really busy with people queuing in a darkened corridor between the entry and the bar to get a seat), take a step back in time and allow yourself to be mesmerised by the 1920s era-dressed staff, super-cool surroundings, low lighting and packed tables.
Expensive and Exclusive – make sure you make at least one visit here when in Melbourne.
